Wonder Labs' Slippery Elm Bark Powder helps coat, soothe, and lubricate your pet's digestive tract. This product is helpful in the treatment of IBS and SID in dogs. Slippery Elm is widely used by many EPI dog owners. It is a prebiotic mucilage that coats and soothes the digestive tract and is loaded with the SCFA (short-chain fatty acid, "Butyrate") that is known to fight SID (small intestinal dysbiosis). Sometimes adding Slippery Elm Bark with a little water to a meal is sufficient enough to get SID under good control, alleviating the need for a course of antibiotics. Although this is not always guaranteed to work, it is well worth trying.
