Postbiotics or postbiotic metabolites are the compounds created by probiotic bacteria to protect and renew our bodies. Our native, natural intestinal bacteria are crucial in producing thousands of these compounds that then control many of our body’s vital functions, including the immune system and brain.

Beneficial bacteria generate these restorative compounds as they digest dietary fibers, and distinctive strains of bacteria require specific types of fibers to produce the most diverse and therapeutic range of postbiotic metabolites.
